Hi fitted a QT front diff guard/skid plate today but had to remove the vibration damper as the guard wouldn't fit with it in place.

Question is: will it be ok without it, or should i get the damper bracket machined so i can refit it???

Cheers

tempted to remove mine now too, when I replace the tie rods and steering damper... although someone in my thread did say "it's there for a reason"...

has anyone here removed theirs, but still does lots of road miles in the same vehicle with it removed?

As I said above.... I have removed mine. Most of my miles have been on the road since mid summer and I've had no issues. In my opinion, it doesn't need to be there, I can't see it serves any useful purpose. So off it comes..... just like a lot of other bits in and on the vehicle!
