it must be a common fault mine has done the same .same side
was like it when I bought it .I tried for hours trying to refit. it just kept falling inside the pipe
so I lost my patience with it and threw it in the glove box. I might try again one day .
until then it is just a pipe dream.lol

it was the back part I could not keep hold of .it just kept falling down the pipe.
I couldn't find anything to keep hold of it so i
might try that idea .thanks.i don't know how easy it is to take the fascia panel off.
which might make the job easier .but by looking at the photo it looks like it all needs to be fitted together.

If you close the vents to the pipe then with tweezers put the prongs of the lower piece over the control bar then open the inner vents and that will hold it in place against the outer vents, that'll hold it in place whilst you glue and add the top part then loop a band around it and tighten it to set.
