Has anyone any experience with their fuel line from the tank clogging up with the waxy residue from running on veg oil ??

Mine normally collects in the sediment bowl, whenever I change my fuel filter I remove the bowl and fuel line off the lift pump and put the air line on it to make sure there is no wax build up in the fuel pipe, do not blow the pipe that picks up the fuel from the tank as it has a one way valve on the end of it.

Try running hot water over the pipe (I know this will be dificult upside down and under the car) then try running the engine. As soon as it starts run more hot water over the pipe to help it all clear through with the flow of fuel. And there we go... a cleared fuel line and a scalded face! Ta Daaaar:p

I would be careful about using hot water to melt the waxing down, then it can pass further into the system before solidifying again.

Good point. Didn't think of that. I ran and audi on PVO and there was a bad frost one night and the engine wouldn't start so i tiped a kettle of hot water over the injectors and fuel lines which did the trick and got it going but I never thought about the blockage moving along and then getting stuck again... I must have been lucky

From what I've read about running on PVO this is a problem you will always get as that waxy build up is glyserine, and the only way to aviod this is to purify the PVO first, basicly turning the PVO into bio diesel.
