A few months back I replaced the fuel pump and all as been o/k. this am i started the landy up and could smell petrol. On lifting the bonnet i could see feul leaking from what i would discribe as the overflow/breater pipe. This is the one that just hangs down from the front edge of each carb. At the moment its only leaking from the off side carb, what would be causeing this? The new fuel pump is a HP one but has worked as stated with no problems.Bazz.

Sticking float not closing off fuel when bowl is full.
Dirt in the needle valve.

It's worth putting in new float needles and jets once they start leaking then setting the float height to the book. Balance and adjust the carb's, I run a 2 door Range Rover here in Kenya with the later bigger valve heads and SU's and on a run it gives over 20mpg with the old 4 speed box.
