Hi well my project V8 is now going to be a 300tdi. Anyway any ideas where to get the engine brackets to weld into the chassis I cant seem to find any also where to locate them is there any measurements or templates? Did see one set on ebay for £100 seems a bit steep for a couple of brackets i could maybe fabricate but i guess it comes with a template which makes it easier.

cut the v8 ones off the chassis you have and weld them back on. Cut them flush with the chassis with 1mm cutting disc. The lh one will have to come off anyway as the exhaust goes there.

Just done a v8 to 300tdi....engine/box/trans-box get in the hole. get the gearbox mountings bolted up. bolted cut off brackets to engine. lift/lower engine until about 25-30mm of clearence between timing cover and steering box.....weld brackets to chassis

Cheers, i was hoping to have exact place to weld the new brackets as the 300tdi is my daily driver and wanting to get the chassis prepared for the transplant. Plus im getting the chassis galvanised so dont want to have to take my 300tdi out to line it up to put it back into my daily car lol

I've got a 300 tdi rolling chassis sitting in my drive if you want to come measure them up I'm in Fife also about 5 miles from kirkcaldy
