Hi all, intro first cos I think this is my first "Disco" post!!! Been here for a while now, been reading the forum for years, mostly the Freelander section, being also a Td4 owner!! :behindsofa: So i'm expecting the usual 5 posts of **** taking then the priceless info!!! Anyway have started a nice little project on a decent city dwelling disco.

I'd first like to thank Mr Noisy,Green Hornet and Minty for their inspiration and threads following their builds and imitation being the greatest form of flattery I hope you dont mind me following your lead chaps!! and everyone else (discool, redhand, and many others!) for the laffs and **** taking!!!!

Anyway enuff lick arseing to minimise the freelander **** take!!!

Since xmas I have unceased the transfer/difflock selector, now have hi/lo and difflock, replaced boot floor. fixed both sunroofs water feature and motors. also electric seats: turned out te be the switches: ball bearings and springs reset nicely: Got a pic if anyone needs to reseat the contacts,bearings and springs.

Anyway after a full inner wing replacment to be done very soon I'll be doing the suspension, but in the mean time I'm shopping for bumpers, namely front winch bumper.

Been searching, looking for a wrap around front winch bumper for my newly aquired 1997 3.9 V8 ES Premium. I have read a few threads and beginning to wonder if there are any bumpers at all that dont require the Gearbox cooling rad to be moved. I dont have the facilities to fab a bumper, so it'll have to be off the shelf.

Anyone know of a front winch bumper for V8 Auto, wrap around not tublar!!

I been looking at the flatdog stuff with spot lights built in, mailed em to see if itll fit with my v8 auto. will wait and see!!!

I realise it's not quite what you're looking for but I have a FirstFour Shadow tubular winch bumper on my V8 auto with AC. it fits higher than most bumpers and the winch is recessed into the grille so actually gives an increased approach angle when compared with standard or the flat type

thanks mate at least I know it'll fit then cheers, really dunno bout the tubular one though, I like the subtle look of the wrap around and it tidy's up the sides too!
Any gutted to read on the other thread about your snorkel, arabs got it sorted by cutting thieves hands off, we should too. Even more annoying that you'll be passing stuck to another disco in your area for years. Shame we share the gene pool with scum floating in it.

I would prefer it if my bumper did wrap around but nevermind.
There aren't THAT many southdown snorkels around. If someone is offered one cheap, I hope they tell me!!
