Yes i have search as much as i can and the more i search the more i get confused, i am stuck on one ponder now...

I have a 1985 V8 90, i believe this has a 24 spline axle.

If i want to convert to disc i should be looking for a 300tdi rear axle or alike, am i wrong?

My ponder...
Can i buy a 300 rear axle casing only (saving ££) and transfer the internals from my old drum axle to the newer 300 disc axle i.e. diff, shafts.... all bar disc end bits?

it should be a 10 spline diff in yours ,you need to buy complete axle 10 or 24 spline,if you bought 10 spline rear disc axle you could use your diff as spare

lol its good to check yourself then rather than what 'dad says'. your 11K of post makes me think its a 10 spline for now then
