Looks like JLR have binned the V6 diesel and replaced it with a much more sensible in line 6 Ingenium lump.
It is to be hoped that the cranks don't snap in this one.
There was a VM6 pot in a Classic for sale a while ago on The Bay,I was tempted but ive one too many ornaments on the drive atm.VM 6 pot should of gone in the P38..

Certainly more torsional stress on the longer crank, straight 8's were a problem. In modern times it's just poor design that leads to breakages.From an engineering standpoint I would have thought an in-line 6 would be more likely to snap a crank than a V.
