I found Chesterfield (Gordon Lamb)very helpfull when I was buying and I purchased a used one from there that they had repainted and put loads of extras on. Excellent service, they even met me at the train station when I was tight for time just to show me the vehicle. I then went back to collect when I had more time. There were a few minor issues when I got it back to Aberdeen that weren't covered by the warranty and they said take it to your local dealer and they would cover the cost.
Can't praise them enough.

I tried using Roger Bass down in Essex and even paid a deposit based on his description of the vehicle I was interested in. Complete Con Man in my opinion, the vehicle was nothing like as described, said it was "in unmarked Java Black, looks and drives like new" it was covered in scratches had two dents didn't have a years MOT like stated although he did say it did have when the MOT was done 5 months earlier!!! He then went on to say it is fairly unmarked for a well used LR. It was the most expensive out of the many I looked at all over the country and the worst by a mile. It cost me about £300 to go to collect it and he thought that would be enough to make sure I drove it away. The worst used car salesman I have ever met and I would recommend giving him a wide berth.

Seems to be any car

I had a nightmare even getting prices on a new combo van - even wi vat the prices id seen in papers made me want to buy new.

Only local vx Salesman was determined he was going to sell me a corsa with a bike rack as it would "fit my lifestyle better as a young gentleman"

Ended up spending 10k less on a used partner van in the end as he would not stop bleating on about this corsas bike rack

As long as it's not only me pulling my hair out! What's the world coming to eh?
Anyway, found one that I've now bought, collecting in a couple of weeks when it's been prepped, serviced, few bits done etc. I was on the way there when the dealer from North Wales called and asked if I was still interested in the car I'd asked him to send pictures of nearly a week earlier, told him they never came and I was on my way to put a deposit down... then he was interested! Too friggin late! He tried telling me that he couldn't use a computer etc etc, makes you wonder how people make a living. Unless people get used to the idea of technology we're fooked. How bloody difficult could it be to take some pictures and email? I could take some detailed pics and get them send in less than 15 minutes. Surprisingly they came through the next morning.
Anyway, moan over for today.
