Can't help you with the clutch, but totally agree about dealers. Customer service is so rare these days, and unanswered emails or phone calls are the norm.

... in what timescale? Did you expect a reply within the hour? or has it been a few days?? :)

When they ask for your reg and say they will phone back in a minute, and you chase 4 hours later and they give you some bollox excuse and tell you they will phone back and don't bother, if they don't want the work why not just say so. If I treated my customers like that I would be skint.

Might be getting you a quote for a long stand as well:lol:

Just curious - I know some places get swamped with calls... and it can be hard for owner-mechanics to actually get any work done. I know a couple that just take notes at the time.. and do the pricing work in the evening, before calling back the next day. Doesn't apply to them all, I know. :)

I understand they have to work, but why not say will phone you tomorrow, so you know where you stand, instead of talking a load of bollox.
