Oh its for a 1987 90, that might kinda help.
Well god knows how but the wheel studs have stripped when I was going around a corner resulting in the wheel, rather comically, flying across the road in front of me and the landy grinding to a halt on its brake disc
Don't have replacement studs though and nowhere to get them from, not at this time. Last time the wheel was off was when it was changed and the guy tightened it by hand rather than using one of those stupid air guns. Didn't even shake me up lol I was quite bemused but now I'm kinda fecked unless I can get studs or a hub![]()
need to check your nuts more often, not tight enough
you tried seeing it any of the threads will take a nut? maybe some got loose.
i seriously doubt i could get there before 10pm and it would be insane to do any work on the side of the road in the pitch black.
i think you need to try and get somewhere, you only have a few hours before it gets dark.
Wow, so very helpful as always. Thankyou Thor, without you I would be at a total loss.
Oh and I had it up on the ramp yesterday, checked for play in that wheel and there was none whatsoever. Have a feeling that whoever has changed my tyres has probably cross threaded the nuts though god knows how
I wouldn't risk it to be honest as its a 5 miles drive home. I've got wheel nuts at home too. My mates gonna come get me and we're going to see if the local landy place in stirling has a hub and some nuts, failing that some wheel studs. It'll need to be back on the road tonight so its a good job I've got a torch.
In the meantime if anyone else more local has any of the parts I need it would be much appreciated
aye, i meant if you could get 3 nuts on, then it wouldn't be too bad if you went slow![]()
Have we looked at map? I'm limited on my current connection
I've got a chiller jacket that's good for minus 40 so I shan't be cold. Got new studs and nuts so I'm back on route to fix it by the road side
