Just wondering how well a 1986 2.5 N/A Diesel 90 will pull up hills? We're talking hills that are between 25 and 30 degrees if u can imagine that. Is it likely to be a poor performer?
Used to have that engine in our 110 before the disco lump went in. If it is anything like what ours was it i'll be second gear and a megaphone to speak to your passengers
I had one in my 110 also and it was the same as Brads by the sound of things. I would go for 200 tdi I noticed a huge difference since I have had mine fitted.
I''ve a deposit down the on 2.5 N/A and I have had it out for a test drive. Seems nippy enough. I will just have to wait and see, but thanks for the feedback!
It will pull fine, had mine up a hill a good load of times thats probably the angle your talking about, pulled up no problem.
It is a good engine, it works best at low speed due to the pumping losses through combustion chamber hole into the cylinder. When its going fast is sucking and blowing through a fairly small hole pretty damn fast.
More low down grunt than a TD5, the 2.5 simply pulls!
I take it that this is some kind of grudge that people have against red and black models? Or is it a fact due to something different in the workings? I'm guessing it's a grudge
