So my series 3 has a set of off road tyres on it and yes they are very, very LOUD!. I use my series 3 as a daily driver/work wagon and I would like a good set of road or all terrain tyres that are quieter and smoother for road use. I have a full set of 5 steel 16" rims that I would like to use, firstly so i can keep the look and also to save some pennies.

I am going to be keeping the off roaders for use off road and will just swap them over when I want to go on off road.

So let me know your thoughts on brands, noise, tread life etc etc.

Also I have done a quick search of the forums but didn't find anything on this if there is a post already let me know the post title and I will have a read.

Mitchelin XPC they look like 5 tread blocks with plenty of sips on the outside edge very good road manners and not bad when it gets wet or slighty muddy.

Nice thank for the info and advice I'll have look at all three suggestions. I just need to flog the wheels and rims off my now scrapped jeep first to raise some capitol.
