Ok So this is my 1st post here, and im asking questions already!!!!!!

I have a Disco 1 V8 of a 1989 vintage :)

It currently sits on 31X10.5R15LT tyres , ive just purchased a set of 16X7J H2X33 steel wheels from a friend who just happend to have them sitting doind nothing in his shed! (£20 for the set... Yippeeee)

My question is this...... What size tyres (Metric or Imperial) can i fit on those steel wheels???? I would need a general mix of 30%road and 70% Offroad use as the car is only going to be used for offroading apart from driving to and from offroading sites.....

Any help or advise would be excellent!

I guess from the reply's that wheel/tyre questions are a thing of much distent here?????
Well im new to it all (well fairly new, ive dabbled in the past)
And i was only asking as the 16X7J wheels have never had tyres fitted, i guess i should just go to my local tyre centre and get there advise eh????? and as for spitting my dummy...... Na not me, im as laid back as they come, almost horizontal you could say! lol J5

I might be interested in the tyres you've got currently ;)

are they a decent make, b are the buggered and c are they an all terrain or non extreme mt like a bfg MT rather than a special trak ?

They are DURANGO M+S all round
Fronts are better than rears
All in fairly good nick

What were you thinking?

Never heard of them but from what I can see they're a budget brand made by cooper, would prefer something like a Kumho if possible or BFG possibly so will pass mate

Cheers anyway
