Ratty do you mean the bore hole tool? or In my case the stretch tool mine packed up too I had to bodge it with a rivet:)

the elastic band flicking tool;):D:D:D

You can get em on their own from partco but they are summit like £15 on their own. My figuring is that I might as well just buy the whole set for £35.

You can use the T handle type applicators from the string kits to fit em if yer stuck. You need to ream the whole really smooth if it's a truck tyre though cos otherwise the plug snaps as you fit it.;):p

They don't list em on their site cos they tend to just keep em in for breakdown peeps. I don't usually use them for parts but I do tend to get my puncture repair kits, exhaust repair clamps and amalgamation tape from partco.

amalgamation tape posh git:)

:decision:
I don't get you lot sometimes

Firstly I used them on motorbikes for years you don't get a spare with a bike !
And secondly what's the difference to getting a six inch nail in your tyre and it deflating or your plug popping out and deflating ?

Is it that the plug might hit a passer by

A punture is a punture

A blow out is somewhat a different kettle of fish .

As is a front wheel punture on a motorbike

Rant over

Hell them plugs are good here for perm-init fix for holes under 1/4 inch on the treads only. Side wall damage is throw the tyre out and get a new one. and can only be on rear axles and not steering tyres. Just like remold/recaps can not be used on steering axles for any vehicle.

Them t-handle bore hole things, you got to run in the hole a time or 2 to clean it out. and they make the bits for drill also. And the glue comes in a small tin can with screw top, you install plug in the tool and then dip it in the can shove it in the hole and presto done. Works best if tyre is inflated

They are still for temp use only in the uk.

We use an installer that stretches the plug in the same way that you would if you were flicking an elastic band.

I can't be arsed to walk out to my truck or landy now but if I remember tomorrow I'll take a picky of a plug being stretched.
