Evening all

New boots will be needed soon.

Not owning this for long, just after some advise.

Currently there is a set of Goodyear Wranglers wrapped round a set of 19s.

I do alot of motorway miles... What would you recommend? Do I have to stick to 255/55/?

Best value? Seen Scorpions for about £180 a corner... Then some Hankooks at £130

I just don't know...

My new one has 255/50/R19's so maybe these will fit too....

The manual should say the stock tyre fitments per rim size...

Dont bother buying new tyres for these...so to speak

I know ill get slated for saying this but I buy a set of wheels and tyres on ebay - ideally the same size everytime more than one tyre looks like it needs replacing. IF it's just the one tyre then I just get a secondhand of ebay.

The price of wheels and (good) tyres will be far cheaper than a new set of tyres. This way you can then sell the wheels you have on, or swap the tyres over if the same size, and then recoup most of your money. You do it more than you would if you brought new tyres granted but you get most of your money back and you keep legal.

Once you do it for a while you can build your perfect set and have a set with winter tyres

like me!

I have L322 18" on 260/65/R18 Bridgestones (£790 for a new full set!) and the same L322 18" on 260/65/R18 Nokians for the winter (c£900 for a new full set)plus one full size matching spare!

None of the tyres or wheel I paid for new

No damage. Puncture repairs etc

£40 for the pair

Mate will fit for £15 each

£70 bang... Saving of over £300!!!
