Hi guys,

Lately the HDC warning light and sometimes both the HDC warning and TC light together have been coming on intermittantly and then going off after a while. Mostly it's the two of 'em together.

Any what's casuing that?

Hey Will

I had this. it's the brake light switch. Since replacing it those lights have not come back on. An easy fix, especially after your super engine cooling refit

Check post #48 on the three amigos thread (my post!!)

It works fine, the part number is in the description. Hope this helps

Sweet I'll buy one when payday comes along and hopefully that will be that. Assuming I can fix my tailgate locking mechanism. One thing at a time....


........then BF Goodrich AT's and a new VCU....

Lol same as that bud, drivers side door locking mechanism, still have a leak issue in my security box, even after spending over a ton on a new door seal (!), the VCU, change the gearbox oil then refit the undertray, maybe fix the aircon, leave the sunroof alone as it looks like a pain to fix............................ but besides that it runs like a dream!!

Yeh I don't want the facelift one with the fancypants wings - they look like they will rip off at the first sniff of mud. I'll just drill and tap some holes for the valance in an old one.

So now my list is:

- New brake switch
- Possibly new tailgate actuator
- New gearstick gaiter
- New gear knob
- Undertray
- Tyres
- Vcu

Yeh I'm going to stay poor for a long while yet....

Tis true, and it's working like a dream. With my insurance I'm not going to be able to do anything interesting engine wise . Even light bars might be an issue .

Just ordered the new switch and adapter as per the sticky fred . Also seem to have sorted my tailgate problem too with the help of Monsieur Diesel Do. Hurrah I call that a win!
