Hi

I thinking of changing my midland 220 cb for a tti 550 or 560 cb that will fit into the overhead console on my D1. Any one had experience of either of these rigs?.

No, but the TTi range have always been good. Have you looked at the Team6MLCD?

Had one in my transit for ages, very very good little rig (but isnt "new norm", ie AM/SSB/FM.)

We have the TCB 1100, Philip has the TCB 660.

Used them a lot when driving in Europe together, good kit but the aerial makes a big difference to how they perform.

We had a Thunderpole long whip, Philip had a short twig, we had some strange results on flat open country, but better in towns.

Good rig + **** antenna = **** performance
**** rig + Good antenna = Better performance.
