Any ideas i think its the transfer box!! uj's are all fine but if you've ever had one fail slowly its the same symptoms and thats exactly what i thought till i checked underneath , drove from oxon to shropshire all fine got to Droitwich spa and she was shaking like a gooden! power on still shakes no noise ,coasting in gear no power and it sounds like a bag of nails, i have to use everyday but no more long runs at the moment ,short run to work thismorning and seemed better( yes i know these things dont self heal) but the gearbox/transfer werent hot as only 10miles, its a hassle
but if its a strip down job so be it ,any constructive thoughts taken on board.

it was on it when purchased the 90 but looks like its had some work in the past due to
gasket seal every where!! ex AMEC vehicle so been in a large pit somewhere in its life.

ah would have been surprised if other had buggered,try running it through gears with t/box in neutral ,any excessive movement at flanges ,is front diff flange got play
