How can you tell if youve got a good transfer box on inspection when its not in the car ie noises or wobbles etc as im getting a new gearbox and ive got a choice out of two transfer boxs thanks.
feel for play in diff by gentle counter rotating both drive flanges then turn them both together and feel play in the gears ,also look in to input gear and check for any wear in the splines none is what you want
