These are rubber inside a tube and are seized, probably due to rust on the inside of the tubes
Think I'll turn it on its back and use the WD40 and a bar to try and free them off.
Pity cause its a good trailer with brakes, handbrake new jocky wheel etc
Had it full of stone so well over a ton and drove it about twenty miles but not freed up at all

I have a boat trailer on which the rubber in the units had gone absolutely rock hard. When i replaced them due to corrosion on the tubes I cut one open out of curiosity & the rubber had no 'give' left at all.
The new units have made a considerable difference. (From Trailer Tek, decent prices & free delivery)

i know what you mean,the gulfstream needs a new fanbelt too.
