Hi!

I cant get the trailer plug to work, have tried 5 diffrent trailers and the lights are black on everyone of them. I have checked the fuses (15A and 40A) and they are not broken. I have LR original fitted towbar and plug. Is it a common fault and is there a easy way to fix it?

Checked the relay?
Checked the electrics are plugged into the loom at the rear of the car?

The indicator relay? None of the lamps are working, so even if the indicator wouldn't work the other ones should light. Today I tried another adapter 13>7, still didn't work, should check the "computer box"? for the towing electrics and the earth connector to it, but don't know how much I should do myself. Still have guarantee left on it. Im sure theres some easy way to fix this...

if not try fitting the correct relay instead of the standard relay

I have the LR003107 towing electrics, sure there are relays?

Check the condition of the wiring in the socket. Especially the white (earth)

If the towing kit has just been fitted has the car had a session on SDD to tell the body control unit that towing equipment is now fitted ?

Problem solved! The programming for the tow bar had gone missing. Probably erased when they programmed a new key.
