Just bought a Disco and have had no problems for the past few weeks :) albeit now the towing warning light has started to come on and annoy me at different times, it seems to be intermitant and sounds like the flasher unit is working overtime along with the green light on the dash flashing...can anyone suggest what might be wrong as it's starting to send me round the bend and my missus is saying "told you so !!!!" ....or can I pull a fuse to stop it (without killing the rest of my lights ) ta much

try spraying the towing socket with wd40 or similar, it could be just moisture in the towing electrics ;)

Had the same thing. Like yella says I blew out all the water, spiders and other horrible stuff and drowned it in WD. Failing that you have a short in the black socket wiring. Trace it back to the rear light that it is piggy backed on to and check that every thing looks ok (no bare wires etc) or loose bits. Put the hazards on and move the wires round a bit to see if you can cure or bring it back. I know its not very scientific but wiring never makes sence and does what it feels like!

you could just need a new socket i couldn't find the fault in one once but when i removed the socket the back of it was all corroded, fitted a new socket and hey presto ;)
