I just fitted a new tow hitch and electrics to my Hippo.
Do I 'need' to fit the towing relay?
I have a supply at the indicator wiring which pulses in time with the car indicators so I 'assume' this 'special' relay simply activates the trailer light in the dash?
If that's all it does I would rather do without it!
Can anybody advise?

you need an audio or visual warning that the trailer indicators are working. If you fit the uprated relay you will get a visual warning from the indicator on the dash. If you don't fit it then you need to fit an annoying beaper thing.

So are you saying it's a regulation I have to observe?
I do have a bleeper for the indicators but didn't fit the crappy thing!
Will I be in breech of the MOT as well??
