i have a 2l diesel freelander L series and was wondering what the towing weight was???

i have just purchased a trailer at 800kg amd wanted to put freelander on it but not sure if my freeelander will cope

any idea's

Don't think it will!
The towing capacity of a gaylander is about 2000Kg, so if the trailer is 800Kg, your max load is 1200Kg.
Oh, and unless you passed your test before 1997, you'll need to take a trailer test, even to tow it empty.

sell the gaylander and get a proper landy - then you can tow 3500Kg.
