Er ...... yes, the hitch can be fitted under the draw-bar. I did that with mine, but as every other part of the braking system was rusted solid, I pulled it all off, and called it a 750kg MGW. That leaves only a 350kg payload, but it was enough for me.
I vagually remember reading that somebody had inverted the braking system too, but I don't know what was involved.
can the towing eye on a sankey trailer be turned upside down and mounted under the draw bar as apposed to on top?
