I thought freelander head bolts were 1st stage 15ftlb (20Nm) then 2nd stage 180 degree turn then 3rd and last stage 180 degree turn to finish.
The cam carrier bolts are 10Nm (7ftlb) are they not
Do you know what they should be torqued to then, enlighten me if i'm wrong.
I already have a 1/2" torque wrench 10 to 150lbft and a 1/2" digital one 22.12 to 265ftlb (30-360Nm) i was after one that was capable of doing 7ftlb for the cam carrier bolts.

i have a 5 -25 1/4" drive teng wrench.
i also have a 20-100 nm 3/8s - which is 54 quid at screwfix atm.
and a 40-200nm 1/2 -
all have different purposes - the 5-25 gets used mostly on carbon bicycle parts. the 20-100 is the most often used.
while i have in the past relied on the tenq "angle scale" on the head i would still recomend getting a propper angle gauge to use if critical like headbolts.

my lawn mower motor is... Head bolt torque is 220 inch-pounds; socket size is 1/2 inch.

just different spring rates on them - the stronger one is £10 more expensive on average.
The 5-25 one is for smaller jobs ... obviously But to be fair I would just do this sort of range by feel. spend your pennies on a 20-100... or both preferably!
Ive got a few teng tools, sockets etc etc, but i wouldnt go out of my way to pay extra for them compared to other brands to be fair. Reasonable tools though generally. My teng 3/8 ratchet has been abused for over a decade and still works fine, despite being wwaaayyyy over torqued with a 1M extension on the end of it etc

Torque acuraccy is a learnt skill.... Most people don't do enough spannering to be any where near.
Any torque wrench when new should be accurate, they will all go out over time but with head bolts it usually isn't the actual figure but the evenness across the head.
Remember to wind the wrench off when not using it.
