The rocker cover gasket on my newly bought Series 3 2.25 Diesel needs to be replaced as oil is leaking from the gap between the cover and the top of the cylinder head.

I picked up a gasket from the local car spares store for a fiver.

What Torque do I need to tighten the bolts to when I re-fit the cover (and in what order)?

Thanks for any info.

just tight ,they are capped nuts that give right compression to gasket once tight

dont over tighten cause you may need to get it off again some day.... just nip them but use a decent sealing compound.

To stop the gasket moving about on the cast cover, try evo sticking it to the cover first.
