do not put the ignition on ,just undo the airbag and take it off I have with out any problem .the 2 bolts that hold it on are the torx ones ,you will then see the 2 sets of wires coming from each horn button if it is not them the take the steering wheel off while it is facing strait ,look to see if you can see the square white marker if the marker is not showing while the steering is strait then some one has had it off and not put it back on properly, 4 screws and the coupler is off just gently turn it round if it does not stop then I think you will find it has been broken, but saying all this does your airbag light go out if so then it may not be broken,
The alarm and the horn buttons just provide different earth paths to energise the horn relay.Could this not still be a relay/feed issue ? I though the horn was activated via different relays depending on steering wheel push switch of alarm circuit ?...
I would be the same , ive not removed a airbag beforeyes all my lights go out correctly, may take it to a mechanic cos im scared of messing it up, really want to be able to fix things myself but i get in a panic in case i cause mself my problems![]()
Its fixed!!! Went to see my friend about a wire that just sitting in my engine doing nothing, he looked and said looks to be something that has been removed in the past and wire just been left behind so not a problem, he asked does everything work I said yes but not the horn. So he taps on top (just with his hand ) to show me were in the engine it is and when I tried it, it now works. He must have healing hands!!
he has probably been suffering a bit of a cold and still had some residue of vic on his hands.....told you :d:d
