Cheers guys most helpfull , I am consulting the Haynes manual, but can't even find the right page

I founded the correct page just need to learn to read now ;) I shall follow the destructions and try not to blow my motor up in the process

no horn you need to check the fuse, then check the wire live is working when the horn is pressed and then test the earth to make sure the earth is goo if all the wiring is ok then the horn unit it self has broken and you need a new one

Hi , check the fuses first , then conections , bad earth etc , clean with a small wirebrush , spray a bit of WD on them !

Yes , could be a corroded earth conection , follow the wires from the horn , see if one is attached to the car body , and clean off any rust , back to bare metal .

Hi again on mine there are two fuse boxes , the horn fuse is in the engine (under the bonnet) fuse box !

Try locking the car using the fob with either a door or the bonnet open.
You should get a mislock, and a horn beep, may narrow it down.

or even open your back window and lock the car if the horn sounds then it is not the horn has any body had the steering wheel of lately check the wires in there . there is one from each side ,also if some one has had the rotary coupling of and not put it back right with the white square showing ,then as soon as the steering wheel was turned it broke it .

I'd try a mislock test first. If you hear the horn sound you can effectively disregard the horn drive circuit completely.
In this case it would point to the steering wheel rotary coupler.

Thanks people looked in manual there is one horn on mine gonna do the mislock thing tomorrow, was really busy today and didn't get round to it, but I'm pretty sure it will beep as I tried to lock it last wk when door was still open and it went off! Wish me luck dont want it to be steering wheel c:)

If all else fails.....smear some VICS from the chemists around your hooter, give it a couple of hours & it will be fine :D
