My Freelander came with no tool kit or jack just the plate in the engine bay to attach it to?

I have a genuine freelander toolbox kit, it contains jack and wheel nut tool they normally go under boot tray though, well it did in mine anyway! Make a offer if interested could post it to you

The older freelander the tool kit is under the bonnet. The newer ones it goes in the fishtank. Best chance is a breakers or eBay. Or buy yourself a little trolley jack and a breaker bar with a 21mm (I think) socket on it.
So many times I have had those supplied bars bend on me and those collapsible jacks the car nearly falls off, I like a bit of stability

Managed to get a tool kit for the Freelander but only seems to come with one securing strap what am I missing on the other end where I have used a bungee?

Same rubber strap that came with it. A bungee does just the same job though

If you have locking wheel nuts make sure your have the unlocking socket. If you don't have locking wheel nuts then it's a good idea to get some.

yes I agree too, I don't like the standard jack, I much prefer to carry a trolley jack in my fishtank.....as you call it :).......I think my wheel nuts are 22mm ?

Probably that then. Either 21 or 22 it's always the 2nd socket I pick up
