by the way buster, how come your injun bay looks like that and mine is covered in a thick slurry of black oil! my overalls were marginally cleanish when I started! Now they're fooked. I've got serious oil leakage all over the fookin place lmao

the next stage in yo edification is to strip the starter motor, wash it in petrol to get rid of the carbon dust, clean up the commutator with a ground down hacksaw blade and check the brushes - luvverlee job, tha :D.
 
av yer tried usin jump leads direct to the starter from the battery just to eliminate dodgy connections anywhere
 
nelly the battery from your 1.4 petrol nissan hasn't got enough bolix to turn ya 2.5 diesel ove, its not all about volts you need amps, cranking power
 
no i aint, where should I connect the positive? I assume the negative can go on the earth strap bolt ont he front of the starter, but where the positive?

I've turnt it over on that before now! Mind you I did have it running before. And to be fair, I'm fairly certain it's not compressing at 21:1 haha :D

tint hard to werk that out is it if yer nose where the earthy bit goes to,the rest must be.......................................
