Stripped the cover off but the leak is actually coming from the lack of gasket behind the tensioner plate ( my bad ) Looking at the timing case, the wire section is on the outside, so the face of the seal is on the inside, is this right?

jamesmartin Well-Known Member Dec 14, 2011 #2 garter spring goes to oil side and if you swap disco cover for defender there is a gasket needs moving to seal cover

sypher Well-Known Member Dec 16, 2011 #4 you forgot that gasket last time if I recall bud lol . As for the seal - Well it depends if your talking about the outer cover/plate or the the one behind the gear . Wheres landy cam btw ?? havent seen u on for a couple of days
