Hi guys,

Just fitted a new cam belt (modified kit) to the disco. Can anyone give me a definite figure for the correct belt tension? Some people say 15Nm, others say that was revised to 11Nm.

I'm in the middle of doing mine and i'm going with the 11Nm as the guide says, i've also cross-checked with autodata and that goes 11 as well.

Is that nm or lbs ft and what's the difference

Also just checked the workshop manual

New Belt = 14 to 16 Nm
Old Belt = 11 to 13 Nm
