Hi doing my timing belt on my 300tdi disco. Im not sure if mine has had the modification or not, is there any obvious way to tell without starting to strip it down? also even with the mod is it the same belt it's not a fferent size etc? all help will be great. Oh its a 1997 disco vin TA530059 if any good to anyone cheers

I believe that the difference is the sprocket at the rear of the crankshaft pulley - the later ones have a lip. So you wont be able to tell without taking the timing cover off, unless yu can remove the pump timing cover and see if edge of belt is damaged. If it is, its a sure sign you have the no-lipped sprocket.
It is the same size belt.
