Hello all, I am in the process of repairing my Disco 1 300tdi after I had a coming together with a Beemer. I have noticed (not related the Damage) thaty there is alot of throttle travel at the pedal before I accelerate away. The cable to the body seems tight. Is there away to adjust this at all. The car is an auto if this makes any difference!!

Yes it does make a difference. If yours is equipped with EDC then you can't adjust the pump with changing the fuelling chip.

Re the throttle travel, when at a standstill and in neutral, is there a delay when you blip the throttle?

No mate there is no delay when you blip the throttle...

Then there's nothing wrong with the throttle pedal.

Are you sure it's not just a matter of you not being used to how the diesel auto feels?

What year is your TDi 300 auto?

Is this your first disco?

Ive not long got mine and i was supprised just how far the throttle moved from start to finish compared to more recent cars ive owned.

Hello again Guys, Yes this is my first Disco. The problem is more apparent when cold but when warm is fine. When the turbo spins up it seems to be ok. I have decided not to **** about with the fuel pump as knowing my luck I will #### it up. Just toonused to small pokey petrol engines I suppose........LoL
