I have searched a few threads here but not found the answer. The sticker on the throttle body doesn't say much either other than 'check manual' so can anyone tell me what the free play settings should be on the two cables are? The one closer to the front of the car is tighter than the one behind which would indicate that they open separate butterflies as revs increase. Is that right or am I still thinking in Ford Carb mode? The car is a 2000 4.0 Thor with Auto trans.

When I took the slack out of the cable on my '93 4.2 I did it with no instructions and found out that if you go out of whack too far it will throw out a gear shift error code and turn on the the check engine light.
