think my clutch is goin in my disco, my foot nearly hitting the floor befor it goes stiff, how much is it for a new cluch is the a decent heavy duty 1 that i can buy. thanks paul

I got Stratton 4x4 to do mine as the clutch fork had died, so got the super duper duty forka dn a new clutch plus labour for £287 which aint bad really.

well unless your going to do it yourself.

Sounds more like it needs bleeding up, or cylinder/s failing... have you checked the fluid level?

Sounds like clutch slave or master cylynder to me, if your going to change one or the other you might as well change them both i did now works a treat.

also sometimes when i go fron neutral to first or reverse there is a clunking noise but its not all the time what do u think that is, is it my prop shaft ? im new to all this lanny stuff so i will be asking lots of questions thanks paul.

cud be prop or rear Aframe balljoint or worn radius arm bushes or any of half a doz areas where ya get play in joints bushes or bearings or even worn output shaft.

might be summat to do with the clutch not having full travel and your trying to engage the box with it being partially driven off the engine...
sort the clutch then try it again

Its a landy mate they make noises and they always will, sounds like your prop taking up the drive, go easier when releasing the clutch after changing gear. Im on my third disco and they all made this clunk noise, just wear dont worri unless it goes bang and you come to a stop, in that case im sorri.

It might be your UJ or the rubber donut is perished leaving a bit of rotten rubber and 3 bolts keeping your back prop onto the axle.

My 300tdi Disco's drive train is as smooth as a smooth thing.
