OK, so after me front wheel bearing collapsed a couple of miles from work yesterday morning, I've found a really nice friendly garage, know what they're on about and don't cost the earth (also spitting distance from my desk at the office).

70 knicker fer noo wheel bearings and a good poke around - o/s swivel is goosed after "the incident" and yes, I can hear and feel the clunk. Going to sort me diffs out tomorrow an a few other things and get booked in fer MOT next week. Could prolly get things sorted cheaper or do it mesen, but work is chaotic and it's very handy an not over priced. Will reserve judgement until I get me next bill tomorrow, and if it seems OK will post the details here. Really nice knowledgable set of chaps - don't mention VW Beetles or campers, or motorbikes, or engine tuning, or electrickery etc when talking to 'em if you need to get away...
 
70 notes fer wheel bearings?!?!?! sound a mite high to me. but then i never use garages
 
Aye, but I also had a damaged nearside swivel anorl. Yes I can get hub bearing fer under a tenner, but it needed doing rather quickly an considering what some garages charge, I was OK with it. They've just rung me back, and I now have disk brakes all round and no backlash in me rear diff...
