Unfortunately and most regrettably my time as a range rover owner is coming to an end (for now)
It's gone wrong again, coolant issue once again
So in my 2 years of ownership I have;
Replaced flan air strut = £400ish done myself
New rad
New thermostat
2 water pumps (1was fault and lasted 4 days) = £1000ish done by an indie
New pcv and hoses = £100ish done myself
New steering rack = £1000ish done by an indie
New fuel pump = £400 done by myself
Auxiliary water pump = £100ish done myself
Disks and pads = £300ish done myself
Tyres = £1000 fitted
Gearbox service = £250ish done myself
New front bumper = £100
New side steps = £200
Front wheel bearing = £200ish done by indie
Fuel filter = £30ish
Heated seat repair
Integrated Bluetooth upgrade =£250 done by me
New rack ends and something else I can't remember = £300 done by indie
new dirvers door lock mechanism = £80 fitted by myself
central locking/ electric window fault = just time spent tracing broken connector and repairing
Missfire = time spent finding dodgy lpg connection and repairing
new headlight glass after one smashed = £100 done by myself
New battery £120
Plus general servicing costs
And the recovery from myhouse to the garage on Thursday cost me £80
Monday il find out the latest damage
So due to the wife starting her own business, the addition of the sprog (who will be one on Tuesday) we're about to start building our own house, plus the costs of the disco breaking too it's getting harder to constantly find the money / time to fix it.
The wife needs a car for her business an I work away a lot. So frequently leaves her stranded for weeks with a non running car, and I'm not about to sort it. Meaning we have to rely on family and friends.
So regrettably it's being replaced with something more reliable for now at least.
Thanks to everyone who has assisted with our issues in the past especially Ant! What a ledgend and top bloke!
So this is where it bow out of rangie ownership
Still got my disco tho so I'm not leaving completely
