Don't blame you mate, used to go down at least twice a week, IMO the best thing that comes out of London is the M1

Just a thought, did you not see the dozen or so signs that warn you of exactly the very thing that happened, ie a risk of flooding! i work for a well known breakdown company and work round there all the time, always good for a laugh

For the last 7 years I have read the tide tables and know that if there's >7m on the Thames keep well away.
This time I let my dad read the tables and he read somewhere that wasn't the Thames as a 5.2m tide, told me that so I thought well that's fine... Fortunately I no longer park on the hard itself because the EAS seems to really hate the angle.
But yes, as you can see there's about 1" clearance at the bottom of the doors, I was so lucky!
