I got an AP clutch and slave from Island4x4 for about £150 without discount, but your deal sounds good too. No, I didn't bother taking off the driveshafts - you can just tie them out of the way once released from the box. Nor did I knock out the roll pin securing the selector weights - it wouldn't budge, even with the box on the bench. Thanks Nodge, that's what I thought. In the site linked to they completely remove the drive shafts.
I'm looking at clutch prices and I see Eurocarparts are selling an AP clutch kit and a LUK slave cylinder for £202 but with todays discount it is £153. Assuming the flywheel is OK is there anything else I will need to complete the job?
Other stuff - good time to change your gearbox and transfer box oils. Also, perhaps some OAT antifreeze in case you have a problem clamping the transfer box cooler pipes and lose a lot (experience speaking here).
