I'm looking at clutch prices and I see Eurocarparts are selling an AP clutch kit and a LUK slave cylinder for £202 but with todays discount it is £153. Assuming the flywheel is OK is there anything else I will need to complete the job?

I got an AP clutch and slave from Island4x4 for about £150 without discount, but your deal sounds good too. No, I didn't bother taking off the driveshafts - you can just tie them out of the way once released from the box. Nor did I knock out the roll pin securing the selector weights - it wouldn't budge, even with the box on the bench.

Other stuff - good time to change your gearbox and transfer box oils. Also, perhaps some OAT antifreeze in case you have a problem clamping the transfer box cooler pipes and lose a lot (experience speaking here).

I had to drain the coolant when doing the K series as the IRD cooler needs disconnected, never thought of clamping them.
I just assumed draining the gearbox and IRD oil was part of the job so would have to renew them both. Would have been doing that anyway in a new to me car.
Unless they are new the drop links will probably need replaced as they have a nasty habit of shearing.

I've just been to see my buddy at his workshop and collect my little landy. It cost me more than doing it on the driveway but sometimes you have to think about the aggro it saves you. I'm still smarting from the cost involved but at least now i know my flywheel is in good shape and i won't have any more trouble with the clutch or slave. She drives SOOOOO much better!

Good to hear she's going well, hope you get many more years happy motoring.
I went to see the car with a broken clutch tonight and walked away. The guy is a cowboy! The car has been bashed on every corner, two rear lights smashed, the interior is stinking dirty, the sun roof is jammed open, the boot door window has been jammed down just enough to let the door open (and the rain), the prop shaft was off, the tyres were all shot and every one different but worst of all it was advertised as 03 but was 01.
Strangely the prop shaft was there and I was able to make it twist so I don't think the IRD was shot but the rest of the car was so horrible I walked away.
Ah well, something will pop up.
