Hi all.

whilst travelling home tonight, it took a while for my temp guage to reach normal operating temperature, this only happened when I got to about 60 miles per hour, covered about ten miles.
As soon as I had to reduce my speed, the guage started to lower.
the air coming through the blower was warm.
Is it safe to keep driving it like this?
Any ideas on what the fault could be?
Water and oil levels are all ok.

Hi, replace the thermostat cos it seems it's stuck open

would this cause it to drop temperature after reaching running temp (half way on the gauge) when I slow down to 30 mph (drops to just above the blue)

yes it would... first of all bleed the system well maybe you have an airlock there but then the symptoms used to be different... or it's an air-lock corroborated with open thermostat

won't be able to do anything until Friday, due to work, can I assume it'll be ok to drive until then.

no probs driving it this way...just a bit increased fuel consumption and harder warming

All done. It was the thermostat along with worn bearings on the fan.
