Hello,

Got my hands on a solid LT77 this weekend from a 200tdi.

If i want to bolt it to a v8 is it a case of just replacing the input shaft and using the lt95 v8 bellhousing?

If not, below are the current parts i have - what else would i need?

LT95 - V8 bellhousing
LT77 - 200tdi bellhousing

will replace clutch - if going down the v8 input shaft route, just standard v8 clutch?

It not worth the hassle - got a gearbox for sale. Currently sat in my car boot but will check for serial number etc later

if the lt77 is a 56a and not a 50a or 51a you cant swap input shafts providing both are similar suffixes, youd use a lt77 v8 bell housing not an lt85 or lt95

Perfect thanks - so 50a and 51a can swap but 56a cannot?

other way round inputs on a 50a or 51a only have 21 teeth a v8 and 56a have 22 teeth, 56a are a later box for tdi ie suffix g and h,so youd need a suffix g or h v8 input shaft

as long as its lt77, the defining part is its a v8 bell housing so disco ,rrc and defender bell housings are the same
