Guy's,

Now having had Disco for six odd months the tyres are getting to the point of replacement. The rear are ok at the moment but front need changing soon.Currently all are Goodyear 225 55 R18. Can anyone enlighten me as to which to go for regarding good price etc, and can i use a smaller profile than 18's.Also does it make any difference if i go for 60's rather than 55's.Any advice would be great, iknow there has been loads of posts before and did search but cannot find any with the answers i need.

thanks in advance

TYRESAVE: Tyre Size Calculator this shows that the 60s will be 22mm larger or 3.12% difference in diameter. This will have a bearing on the speedometer reading (it will under-read). Accelleration may be slightly slower.

What you really need to know is, will they fit under the arches without fouling?

Michelin or BF's are probably the best in the market for mileage

Do you do much off road stuff ? if so go for the BF AT's (if you can get the right size, if you do mostly tarmac, go for Mich's bit more expensive, but will pay back on miles !!
