Hi, Wonder if any body can help. Friend parked his Y reg Land Rover Discovery series 2 on my drive this morning. Came to drive it away and he came straight back and said car had no power and turbo not working. All I have done is change oil and filter for him. Started up and did not drive just made sure no leaks. I seem to think he blames me for this, could I have done something to break turbo? or is this a common fault one time working no problem, parked, then when restarted turbo u/s?Your comments would be greatly received. 152533 miles on clock.Had problem with his auto box a few months ago and car would go into limp home mode then clear then come back on. He says it has now fixed its self?Can the two be related?

easy enough to check if turbos spinning by removing intake hose , did you change centrugal filter too, any other symptoms ?

check injection loom plug just under front of rocker box for oil contamination ,just changing oil shouldnt cause an issue unless you left plug out or too little put in

Check the waste gate linkage is free as mine had the same symptoms and all it needed was the linkage freeing off. Hope this helps.
