Thred title says it all really. Just wondering if prevention can work. Noticed the suggestion on the other thred about oacking connections with silicon grease and started to wonder.

just clean it out with WD40, an air line and rags, then add some silicone grease.

or spend the £40 on a new loom...

will still get thru the silicone and grease.....wot we did on all our TD5's is drill a small weep hole at the plug on the head as well as the plug at the ECU [red one...yellow wires on the right o the plug] to prevent oil build-up. both plugs are also cleaned at every service. no probs so far.

What age TD5s are we talking about? Does it affect all off them at some point or just early models?

Thanks
