Alright guys
My auto TD5 Disco has got the Manual and sport lights flashing on the dash and seems 1st and 2nd gears aren't working. had this before but when i turned it on and off again it cleared itself. Now it won't clear, battery is fully charged and changed the fuse but still on. Just what i don't need now with a drive to the west country on boxing day. Any ideas what else I could try??

Had the same problem on my TD5. It may be the XYZ switch which is mounted on the side of the gearbox. You may be able to clear the fault by moving the gear selection lever back and forth over its total range. In the end you may have to replace the switch (about £90). Not difficult to do but a bit of a fiddle to get at the two small bolts as the exhaust is in the way. There is procedure to line up the switch which is explained in the RAVE guide.

yeah i had this problem about 2 months after i bought mine and i took it to a garage that always deals with landrovers and he charged 120 quid fitted and was done in a day so it cant take long. i havent had anymore probleems with it in the last year and i do alot of miles traveling europe and some off roading.
