hi all can anyone tell me the difference between the defender and disco td5 engine as when I ordered a head kit they asked if it was a defender or disco I thought the engines were the same can anyone enlighten me please

engines are the same, some pipework may be different as the engine bays are different

Afaik there is no difference. However it ain't that simple.
There are two versions of the Td5 engine; the 10p and the 15p.
I'm sure that somebody else can enlighten you as to the differences.

That's cool my concern was there were different variations between the two vehicles as looking for the 10p engine and one has come available but it's in a defender I'm only interested in block and head to hope I can sort something and get mine on the road soon as haven't driven it yet
