hi i have a 01 td5 discovery. the front passenger electric window is playing up, if you press the switch to lower the window it goes down about an inch and stops as it stops ther is a very very loud cracking noise, any one had this problem before i strip the door pad off.many thanks.

Hi Alan, it sounds like the window regulator has lost a couple of teeth and the cracking noise is the motor slipping over the worn out teeth. Door panel off i'm afraid to double check it.
